what would it cost to use disposable inserts full time?

if you only used flip disposable or gdiaper disposable or something similar, what would the costs be? Ive read reviews before that the disposable inserts needed to be doubled each time but havent used them myself to know. Also, which are flushable and compostable? i know the gdiapers are ment to be flushed but wondering about other brands. Im not sure the costs or how environmentally friendly they would be but i am kind of curious as to why someone would use the disposable inserts over cloth or just regular disposable diapers

Any disposable insert is pretty pricey to do full time. According to the pricing I did with ODD, it was considerably more expensive than using just regular sposie.

The full case of Flips would last about a month for my YDD. So about $65/month.

When I worked out the math for us to use gdiapers disposables about $65-70 a month. We go through about 60 diapers in a week, we use a service so that's how I know LOL.

You don't need to double up except for nights ime. And I liked gdiaper disposable inserts best. They're more environmentally friendly than Gro-Via for sure but not sure how Flips compare.

I think most people just use them when they're on a trip or something. Otherwise isn't it essentially like using disposables?

GroVia are compostsble, that nice waterproof backing that keeps the cover dry and reusable (unlike the others) is biodegradable and they meet the same compost ability standards, and are available in bulk from Costco, so that would be my choice if I were to do it full time.

As other posts said, I have only ever had to double up at night. Flips and gDiapers are the same basic design, I think Charlie Banana has the same product too. GroVias are the most well thought out, in my experience, and allowed me to reuse the cover more.

As far as the math goes, any of them are more expensive than mainstream disposables, but I'm not sure what they all are per month.

I've actually taken cloth breaks with gdiaper sposies (blush ) If LO was having rash issues or life was just getting overwhelming. They're WAY better than regular sposies helps me get back on track.

That's right. I think Huggies would be cheaper, honestly.
