Chicken question

So I have 3 laying chickens and we got 2 new pullets a few months ago. They are finally all getting along and I would like to put them all in our large coop and run but I don't know what to do about their food. The younger ones are still on grower crumbles and the older ones are on layer pellets. Any great advice on what to do? Thanks!

Re: Chicken question

Give them all Grower until the pullets can have Layer too. And offer a seperate bowl of oyster shell (or crushed egg shells) the hens will eat it for extra calcium and the pullets will leave it alone.

Re: Chicken question

We gave our girls all starter/ grower until the young ones were old enough for layer feed. The older girls loved it! Just make sure the older girls are getting enough calcium.
