Re: Do you think creams reduce/prevent wrinkles?

I've been thinking about getting one now that I'm 38 and can see some wrinkles at the corners of my eyes and some starting on my forehead. Think I'll try the rosehip oil to start. I never wear makeup, and just wash with water in the shower, so maybe a cleanser is in order as well.

I should add though that my mom looks great for her age (though she's smoked since 13 and has done a ton of drugs), so I'm hoping I get her genes 'cause my dad looks like a train wreck for his age (he does have health issues though).

Re: Do you think creams reduce/prevent wrinkles?

I do think good skincare makes a difference. I use lancome moisturizers and I have seen a huge difference in my face. I buy my day moisturizer at a lancome outlet about an hour from my house and I buy my night time one on ebay. I buy sample sizes on ebay and the price per oz is much less than buying in store. The outlet is 30% of retail prices but they don't carry my night moisturizer. I also use sunscreen during the day. For cleanser, I use cetaphil with my clarisonic at night and a volcanic ash exfoliater in the am.

yeah that.

Re: Do you think creams reduce/prevent wrinkles?

I was living a healthy lifestyle, but when I was 30 my body started changing - age spots, lots of dryness, etc, etc. I started taking really good care of my skin & it paid off.

I think that there are numerous components to how your skin looks - part genetics, part nutrition, part lifestyle, part environment, etc -
I got lucky with genetics, and I do what I can with the rest. I make an effort to care for my skin - use facial scrubs, moisturize, etc & at 41 I still get carded & people tell me that my skin is glowing.

I also agree with kaleidescopeyes - I have been a faithful sunglass wearer for years & only have the tiniest little signs of age around my eyes. I see people in their 20s with a lot of lines around their eyes & they usually are people who don't wear sunglasses.

No. I think the biggest factors for young looking skin are genetics, using sunscreen and moisturizer and not smoking.

I use moisturizing creams but do not spend any extra $ for anti aging products. I am 33 and use the same cream I used I my 20's. people ask me if I am 25 all the time.

I guess so, when you put it that way. I suppose I thought she was talking about anti-wrinkle or anti-aging creams.
