Suggestions Please

These expedit bookshelves used to be FULL. Now I am not sure what to do with them. Ideas?

I love the uncluttered look on shelves so I would do books on the bottom shelf & on a few of the shelves put cane baskets to hold things & on others put a photo or something. I would also limit he top of it to 1 thing or none...

I have just moved a shelf system out of the kids room in to our one as the kids put everything on it & it looked like a mess. I am looking for some nice baskets to use on it as DH is dumping his rubbish on it, can't wait to have that clean look

Can you take the stuff off of the taller bookcase and move them to the square expedit or does that not work b/c the tall one is deeper? You'd still have the larger one, but at least you'd have 1 less bookcase.

I would move the full cubes to the bottom, so the top looks more open (ateye level) and also take the stuff off the top and put it in some of the empty cubes.

Can you combine them into one?

I would move the photos on the top (and maybe the candles) to eye level. It will give a cleaner look without items on the top IMO

Ooh, I love doing this stuff.

First, pick one cube on each level to hold books. Each one only half full, two of them stacked horizontal.

Group the stuff you have on top in two cubes on each level.

Basket from tv unit in remaining cubes. If they have to stay with the tv unit, then leave those bare.

My thought is to get rid of the tv stand and replace it with one of the 2x4 units and flip the other so it is vertical next to it... Have yet to breech the subject with DH.
