Has anyone put an eyelet row for a drawstring in 1 x 1 ribbing? If so, how did you do it and did you like it? Thanks

I would do a YO before a purl then k2tog, then continue with the ribbing for a few stitches then repeat. Just figure out the number of stitches in your repeats so that it's even all the way around and an even number of eyelets so the cord starts and finished on the same side.
That's the only other way I've done an eyelet row is to add in the YO where you want the eyelet and then p2tog in the next round where your YO are. I don't like the look of this as much.

I've only done an eyelet for longies on 2x2 and I couldn't quite wrap brain around how to do it for 1x1 without them being way too close together

Re: KAL ~ January 2013
I have found eyelets to be unnecessary. I just leave a tail on the cord and use a darning needle to pull through, so that's an option
![]() I am done with the longies, matching Hudson hat, one bootie, one mitten. now to finish the pairs and get some pictures of projects. ![]() It is rainy and AF started so I think a nap sounds good right about now! |

I don't do eyelets on the ribbing for my longies. I do a crochet cord so it is not as thick as an i-cord.

I'm almost done with my first longies. I am doing the trim on the second leg.
