No microfiber against the skin but fleece and suedecloth is ok.

Re: How to wash prefolds & how to setup overnight dipe :-)
It depends why you were told no synthetic. If she had a reaction. I've always used suede cloth (can be found in the funky halloween fabrics like pethor and netting.) I've heard you need to use microfleece other wise. polar fleece repells water. Try your liners during the day just to be sure they work.
Here is a bunch of folds: youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&NR=1&v=R0l6Wq-iVFM

I was told that "...as a general rule", no synthetics against baby's skin, in a cloth diapering class. Maybe I blanked out on the exceptions. Lol.
We made it through the night in just a regular old prefold! No leaks! Then had to do laundry and since I'm still building my stash, all my covers are washing. So I put her in a huggies and she tinkled and soaked her clothes. Poor baby!!! Visit my brand new blog! imamommy.weebly.com. It's still very small but I will be posting at least every week. Re: How to wash prefolds & how to setup overnight dipe :-)
I am assuming you EBF (do not know the rules for formula fed diapering)...
Just toss em in the washer. We do a cold wash + soap, sani wash + soap, cold rinse. Double rinses on each load. To increase the capacity of the nighttime diaper, we trifold a preemie prefold in the center. |

One prefold last night was enough! But I like the idea of a stay dry layer... Visit my brand new blog! imamommy.weebly.com. It's still very small but I will be posting at least every week. Thank you!! |
