When I was in CT they see called grinders, the part of queens/LI we were in they were subs, and where I grew up in NY, they are heros. If melted mozzarella cheese is added it's a -- Parmesan hero. Could be chicken, shrimp, meatball, etc. Yummmy!

Tomorrow: I'll be working at dinner time again. If there's enough leftovers, they'll eat that again, otherwise they'll have a meal from the freezer (homemade).
Friday: Black bean and corn tacos or enchiladas
Saturday: hamburgers, oven fries and some sort of veggies
Sunday: haven't decided yet. It will be something vegetarian. We've been eating a lot of meat lately. Possibly homemade pizza or BFD (breakfast for dinner)
Monday: again, I'll be working late, so DH and the boys will probably have something from the freezer.

ETA: I don't ever plan lunches unless its some sort of special event. Lunches here are generally leftovers, a quick pasta dish, sandwiches, or "snack plates" (meat, cheese, crackers, veggie and fruit pieces, etc).
Ha! I totally forgot about posting this and I just finished grabbing a few groceries to get to our next normal grocery day. Here's what I ended up with:
Wed and Thurs were leftovers as expected.
Today: black bean and corn taquitos with seasoned rice and salad
Saturday: hamburgers, tater tots and salad
Sunday: spinach and Parmesan quiche
Monday: soup from the freezer

Sunday: spaghetti and caesar salad for lunch, bacon wrapped crock pot chicken for dinner with asparagus

Monday: leftovers for dinner

Tuesday: mushroom covered pork chops with baked sweet potatoes and some veggie for dinner

Wednesday: fast option

Thursday: leftovers

Friday: Mediterranean Mac and cheese with sausage

Saturday: taco soup

Sunday: leftovers

It's incredibly important that we eat all our leftovers this week as we fly out of town the next Monday. I don't always plan lunches in advance. Except Sundays when DH is home and we eat as a family. But I'll be eating a lot of sandwiches this week to get rid of lunchmeat and DD will eat a variety of things including frozen raviolis, fish sticks, pot pies, etc.

I make a monthly meal plan just for dinner. Lunch is always just leftovers or something easy like a sandwich. Here's an example of this week's dinners.

Sunday: burritos
Monday: potato soup and homemade bread
Tuesday: cheeseburger macaroni
Wednesday: bean tostados
Thursday: Tofu and veggie stir fry
Friday: pizza
Saturday: veggie burgers and fries

Whole chickens intimidate me but this sounds yummy & easy!
