Purse is done. Threw out all receipts, wrappers and junk.

Now to do the other days. Hate being out of town. Things get all out of wack at my house.

I keep a tiiiiiiny purse so nothing extra fits in it so no purging to be done there.

I did my bathroom drawer and purged a TON of yucky bobby pins, dirty ol clips I dont ever wear, old make up, samples I havent used in like....ever, old meds, etc. I cant believe there was that much crap in there!!
I still need to do the rest of the list.....except dipes. Ydd is almost out of dipes but Im preggers with #3 and soooo not ready to pull the newb stash out of the attic.

Re: Mini Minimalist Challenge: 1/7-1/11

My diapering stuff is pretty minimal and we'll need it all for the new baby. I decided instead to go through some bins we have in the basement. We need to really purge and organize down there because we are doing a total basement gut and remodel this spring. So we really need to purge down there.

1. 4 halloween candy buckets
2. 3 4th of july hand clappers
3. 3 scarves, 1 hat
4. 4 coasters
5. 2 halloween gift bags

Re: Mini Minimalist Challenge: 1/7-1/11

I had a very productive day yesterday. Our daughter's bedroom had become a bit of a dropping zone for things, since she doesn't sleep in there right now anyway. So I had been meaning to spend some time in there, and so I decided to start with the challenges of purging some things from her closet and to purge some diapering supplies. I also wanted to do some more toys.

Once I got started, I really got on a roll and did pretty much her entire bedroom! I put stuff in storage that needed to be put away, I organized things, and I purged a bunch of stuff. I put all of her clean clothes away. I dusted. I wish I had taken before & after photos! It looks so nice in there now.

I had actually already just done a big purge of clothes and diapers, but once I actually went in her bedroom and sorted everything, I found a bunch more to get rid of. I purged 5 diapering items, 10 toys, 15 items of clothing, and then 8 miscellaneous items (including a box of breast pump stuff).

We also got rid of the crappy glider in her room! So that's a large item purged. I also got rid of a good-sized diaper stacker.

I still need to go through my diaper bag, because I'm going to switch into something a bit less bulky now that DD is getting a little bit bigger and we have less big outings from here on out (now that the holidays are over). I'll probably do that tomorrow, but I doubt I'll actually get rid of much.

My progress for week two...

Monday: 23 cleaning items
Tuesday: 6 purse items
Wednesday: 15 clothing items (plus a few more miscellaneous things from closet)
Thursday: 18 toy/book items
Friday: 5 diapering items

Total: 67+ items!

I lost steam this week. I just didn't really have anything to purge from the weeks areas. I guess I could find a few little items in DDs room but since it is bare bones I'm not sure I can. Again I am frustrated that I don't have stuff to purge LOL

No worries! Not every challenge will be relevant to everyone. This week was pretty heavy on kid stuff, so maybe I'll try to break things up a bit better in the following weeks and not have too many things from the same area. I'll be posting new ones tonight, do you have an area or two that could use some attention? I can try to work it in.
