kid illness question

My dd has been sick since saturday night (fever, upper respiratory). We finally got the fever under 100 and sent her to school yesterday and today. She is complaining about her right ear. When I take her temp in her right ear it is higher than her left ear. Sign of infection?

Re: kid illness question

I would take her to a doctor if she has a fever for that long.

That would be my guess, too.

I second seeing a doctor. Also, I wouldn't send her to school or Anywhere else unless she had been totally fever free, without using medicine, for 24 hours.

No sick kid appointments last night and she is not miserable enough to chance the ceasepool of germs that is after hours care. Made an appointment for tomorrow after school. I hate taking them in, exposing them to god knows what to be told its a virus and just rest them.

If she is running a fever in the morning she will stay home with me.
