Flats vs prefolds

Flats are way trimmer. That's why I choose them over prefolds.

Other than trim and washing/drying easily, they're cheaper overall, because they're OS.

i have never had an issue washing prefolds, though i do agree a flat would dry faster but prefolds dont take that long to dry anyways. I have a really hard time folding a flat and it staying/fitting how it should so i just prefer prefolds.

i tried this out for in a flip, love it! they look neat put away when they are folded like this too

Hey this is a cool way to padfold! I have sat around and tried to come up with a way to padfold that doesn't involve mashing all the edges together but haven't been able to. this is awesome! I tried it and it worked great! Thanks for posting.

I figured out a way to have a "no-bump in the middle, no-lump of hemmed edges on the end" padfold. I start with the flat lying flat in front of me with the hemmed edges parallel to me. Then, I basically, for lack of a better term, accordion fold the whole thing to the desired width so that its one LONG pad, then I fold in half or partial thirds and good to go. The hemmed edge is on each side of the long sides and within the fold, so you don't feel it at ALL! Clear as mud?

I prefer flats. They can be folded to fit a lot of different sizes. For ex, i have some medium diaper rites right now and i cant get them to fit in some of our covers padfolded. I snappi them but their use is limited.

But then again prefolds dont need to be folded. Thats nice too.
