Re: Basically its Friday!!!!

I just think it's hilarious she marched herself to the principal's office. I did not see that coming. She is always surprising me.

It's frustrating. I know the school can't contact every parent for every offense, it's not practical. But because of the way Ginger's brain works, IMO for her specific case, she's already gotten away with hitting (even if it's not hard or violent hitting) too much and now we have a very uphill battle on our collective hands to break her of this behavior. If the law had been laid down swiftly the first time for this particular behavior, we would have had a different outcome. But because I can't get a IEP or whatever for her, I can't dictate how she is handled. And I'm a little puzzled how to deal with level 1 vs level 2 physical contact, in G's mind she is not going to be able to tell the difference so she is not going to understand why sometimes the consequence is this and sometimes it is that. Agh.
