That is my preference, but Im in Maine and there are absolutely no Recaro dealers in the state. DP and I are going down to NY for another IVF in a few weeks and there is a Buy Buy Baby down the road from our hotel, but DS wont be with us. I am still going to look at it in person and visualize as best as I can, but im bummed he cant try it out. I will bring him to Babies R Us to sit in the britax though and see what I think.

Re: Recaro vs. Britax

We have both for my 5.5 year old DS- the Recaro is our full time seat and the Britax is our extra seat when he visits his grandparents, goes in my DH's car, etc (it is so easy to install!). We also have a Britax Frontier for my 3.5 year old as her extra seat while her full time seat is a Radian XTSL.

I love both but it seems like he will outgrow the harness on the Recaro sooner than the Britax. At that point, we may switch the Britax to his full time seat and use the Recaro as a regular booster for the sporadic times he is is another car.
