Can I get a little more advice?

Is there possibly another dad/daughter on the team they could share a room with? Not sure how close the team is, or if that would be awkward. If he doesn't go, who would coach? If there is someone else who could take over the coaching and it wouldn't be too hard on the team, I would consider only sending DD. She could drive with someone else, and share a room with her teammates.
