Jen I just realized MH is about 5. 5yo girls are the stuff nightmares are made of. They go from being usually jovially go with the flow to being school aged and aware of the differences in behavior between themselves and other less stuctured kids. Add in a healthy dose of hormones and you are in for a treat!

It really doesn't matter how well you plan it...something is going to be the trigger for a meltdown. It's baffling!

I know sticker/smiley charts are a PITA to keep up with but maybe she'd be too busy doing it to have a meltdown?


One for putting PJs away.
One for getting dressed.
One for putting her bowl in the sink (or DW) and wiping up any mess on the table.
One for brushing her teeth.
One for getting shoes and coat on...or being good while someone helps her.
One for going to school nicely...not temper-tantrums.

Heiner picked up the meds from the chemist and I've filled my weekly box. I've been neglecting my pain meds and I've decided that's just not good. So I have more pills to take but hopefully if I'm not in as much pain I'll be able to sleep.

He is going to get the last of my meds that I'm missing tomorrow after work. He's closer and it's easier for him to go after work (also they are only open from 2-4pm). I dont know where it is and I hate going somewhere alone that I've never been before.

Ugh. I feel like I am getting the flu. Standing outside for an hour right at 0 degrees was no picnic either. I am going to cuddle down and do nothing for awhile.
BUT I ordered a basket today for the first time in 7 months My dad is going to bring it up on Sunday

Sorry Jess, hope it is just a cold and not the flu...that sucker has been awful in MN this year. I have 8 relatives that got it and 2 were hospitalized.

Would a note pad and pencil on a cord for her to wear help? Or is she still too young for that?

Or maybe a note pad you keep in the car for her to fill out on the way to school. You could remind her of how many similes she's going to add to her notepad while she gets ready.
