I will ask for a longer rx for Diflucan, more than the one day pill.

They are normal colored, not blanched or anything.

I don't wear pads anymore, but that's a good thought, thanks!

I'm going to start back on the GV tonight, wish I didn't have to, but I don't want it to get bad again. That stuff is messy!!!

If it IS ductal yeast you will need a 28 day treatment. No joke. Every lactation consultant will tell you that is the treatmsnt for tdue ductal yeast.

There are so many nooks and crannies in your milk ducts that yeast can hide in. If it doesnt all get killed the first time it will become vedy resistant. Its horrible. I know but if it truly is ductal yeast it needs to be treated properly. Oh and my nipples were split open and bleeding when thd ductal yeast was at its worst.

I'm mobile.... sorry for the typos!

Re: Oh Lord, it's like razor blades!!! Help!

My pain seems to be just in the nipples, is that not ductal (yet) then?

Sounds like ductal thrush. I had it too...razor blades with latching and letdown. It was miserable. You need the long RX & high dose of the antifungal. It never really went away for me, but the pain got more bearable.

If it's just in your nipples I would say its not ductal. Ductal yeast hurts in your entire breast. You have milk ducts that spread and wrap around your whole chest.

When I had ductal yeast i had pain in my back, in my armpits and up in to my neck area. The pain was definetly not just in my nipple. At the time i actually described the pain as flame shooter out of my nipples.

I'm mobile.... sorry for the typos!

Oh Amanda - ouch.

I get all warm and fuzzy whenever I see your avi. My DH was Navy when we got married and that pic takes me right back to all those reunions on the pier. : )
