Is it good for overnights? The one I've got has snaps with a sewn in flap-style soaker. Are they meant for night time? It seems like a lot of diaper for my 5 month old.

They work so good for us at night, although we do add 1 bamboo or hemp doubler folded in half under the flap insert (for a tummy sleeper). We've never had this leak.

My DD isn't a super soaker by any means so I think the diaper on its own will be enough. It's quite thick and I know bamboo is super absorbent. Do you usually save it for your overnight diaper?

I feel like such a newbie these days!! This is my third baby I've CD'd but I used almost all pockets and hardly ever fitteds. I'm dabbling with more now because she's my last. I've got some wool I'm trying to figure out too!!!!

Yes they are very absorbant. If yours has snaps it is probably the older version (I think). We have used them at night, going out, or just whenever. I LOVE the aplix.
