I <3 Joel Dewberry! I have tons of his fabric, that's what my diaper bag will be

Finding pants to fit is going to be a royal pain. Last time I managed to find some shorts that happened to have an elastic waist, and lived in skirts the rest of the time.

Oh, and I'm already super sick of the belly band, I even think about bending down and it slides up in the back.
I did! I used this tutorial: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-...s-an/?ALLSTEPS

Re: Baby Craft thread

Made this today during nap time. I just hope that we have a normal spring and I get to use it early. If not, at least I'll have it for fall.

Here is the tutorial I followed to make it if anyone is interested:

Jodie - that is really cute... but unfortunately, using anything aftermarket (anything that doesn't come with the car seat or is made by the manufacturer for that car seat) is not recommended.

I completely know that and understand that, but it is my choice to use something that I know that will be snug to them and not bulky like the store bought ones and one that she won't sweat in. I am completely confident that my child will be safe in her car seat with this blanket. That is just my choice and totally OK for other mothers to feel differently.

I am a car seat nut and what you posted, I would use personally, it's thin and isn't going to interfear with the harness any more than the thin fleece coats and layers techs recommend over coats.

I would have loved that for DS because he was forever kicking off blankets walking into stores and whatnot.

This baby will be older by winter so hmm? Maybe just use the carseat poncho we already have.

I tend to agree. If you were posting a photo of some quilted fleecy thing, I'd be like 'yikes!', but that looks so thin, I can't imagine it would make a difference.

Sometimes I'll let DD wear a thin fleece coat in her carseat because they don't require me to adjust the straps. Although usually she doesn't and we put a blanket on top of her instead.
