Dd started peeing through her lil joeys at about 3 weeks, just over 7 lbs. she is a heavy wetter though. They were worth buying for nb though, and I only lost about $4 on the entire stash after reselling.

Re: Best fit for 6-7 lb newborn
I loved snapless fitted because you can get a better fit around the legs.

Re: Best fit for 6-7 lb newborn
Here's a few of our favorites!!
On my daughter - she was 6lbs 13oz and went all the way down to 5lbs 8oz.... I honestly LOVED our goodmamas on her. They were too bulky at the 5lbs mark, but once she hit 7lbs a week or so later they fit like a glove! Not sure if it was just her body type or what because I know they don't fit *most* newborns - but I adored them on her! ![]() On my son - he was 7lbs 3.4oz and went down to about 6lbs 8oz. I loved Newborn Raven Tree Snappiable Fitteds, Newborn Nana's Bottoms AIOs, GMD Preemie Prefolds under Bummis Super Brite XS Covers, GMD Preemie Prefolds, XS Thirsties (couldn't use til cord fell off). ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I had 6pounder, fitteds I made with the LaDiDa pattern and Bummis super brite XS were my favorites, and for AIO I loved the NB GroVia
I have a thread too, I'll try to remember to link it... My least fave was gDiapers tinyG and the biggest joke, in terms of no way would it fit was my XS Fuzzi Bunz

Re: Best fit for 6-7 lb newborn
My last 2 came home at 6lbs even, we really liked the fit of Mutts, nb Sticky Peas (snapless), preemie prefolds and wool or Bummis Super Brites for covers.
What was too big or bulky the first couple of weeks: KL0's, fit, but just seemed SO bulky on a tiny baby, and the absorbancy was terrible Orange edge prefolds were manageable, but bulky Thirsties xs covers were too big I've heard that GroVia nb's are great for tiny babies, they were *just* available right after I had my last baby so I didn't get to try them. I got a few for this time around. I'm also making a bunch of smaller fitteds so we have something that fits nicely the first few weeks. I am not a fan of bulky diapers on nb's. |

Re: Best fit for 6-7 lb newborn
Noah was 6lbs 15oz when he was born and BG NB AIO fit him great! Grovia git him OK too until we had gapping issues around the legs all the time (I don't recommend them for that reason). He was just out of preemie sized prefolds, I think I used NB sizes but a lot of the covers I had didn't fit. Next time around, if there is a next time, I'm going to get some preemie sized covers. I had to shrink the Disana wool to fit him too, ahha.
