Proud of myself :)
I have an issue with kids clothes. My kids are still small (2.5 and 1 in a week) so all of the stuff is so cute! Especially for DD....I always figured that they couldn't have to many clothes. Well, with my new way of thinking I minimized their clothes. I have been getting rid of their clothes for a while now, but I feel I am ALMOST satisfied with my results.
So...here are the clothes. Closet....DD has a dozen dresses and a sweater for some of the dresses. This is my weak point right now, but some are off season that I am holding onto because I love them so if they still fit when it warms up then I wanna use them again. ![]() And the rest of the clothes. Each have 3 containers. Top shelf is dd's and bottom is ds's. Shirts get one big tub, pants get the other and jammies and socks in the middle. DD has a panty obsession and must choose her own and change them 100+ times a day so she has a basket just for them (stored on a bookshelf in the room, just moved for a pic of all their clothes) ![]() I know I won't be able to do this for long. Once they get bigger, their clothes will too. But for now, this works. Maybe once clothes get bigger one big tun for jammies, socks, and undies and then just folding/stacking clothes on the shelves...each get one shelf. I still don't like to say "you can have 5 shirts and 5 pants" instead I like to go with "If it fits in its allowed space, then you can keep it. Once that space is full, no more adding without taking away"

Re: Proud of myself :)
Looks really good! My DD is the hardest for me to keep a minimal wardrobe for. Too many cute options. My boys just have a top and a bottom.

Re: Proud of myself :)
It's hard isn't it. I resisted today at Walmart when I walked past the clearance racks.

Re: Proud of myself :)
Great job! I have a hard time with kids' clothes, too... this is inspiring.

Re: Proud of myself :)
Great job! Girls clothes are harder, they have more things to choose from and coordinate, and frankly their stuff is cuter, LOL. I do the same thing, it must fit in this space as opposed to # of items and it seems to work well. As long as you don't have room for more clothes than you can manage.

I go by your rulest too, the "if it fits"....so I'm just thankful we have HUGE closets so I don't have to minimalize her clothes LOL Great job though
