Re: Pregnancy After Loss (Jan 16-31)

Got my doppler out and heard baby's hb! 170bpm

Em sat on the bed with me when I checked. And I said hear that choochoo. And she said yeah. I said that’s baby. She said “hi (h)ope” and waved

(she has been naming baby Hope, but it comes out ope)

I'm going to be 9 weeks tomorrow. Which seems like forever ago I found out.

I got out the doppler today too, but he/she moves away from it too quick for me to get a rate reading. Today was super sweet because as soon as I found it DS started screaming "Hi sissy! Hi sissy!" to my belly. It was so cute!

Cristy!! Congrats on your beautiful baby girl I love all of these precious miracle babies

continuing to pray for the mama's and babies in our group! It has been so great to have this support group to post the up's and down's with people who "get it".

Everying is sailing along here...the end is in sight and I'm so much less anxious this pregnancy than with my original rainbow baby (thank goodness!)

to anyone who needs one!!

I am so happy you are getting your rainbow too! I remember us being so close last year.

I just cried when they put her on my chest. I mean, people take it for granted how "easy" pregnancy is supposed to be. All of our painful losses are so soon forgotten by everyone else but they just burn a scar in us. I was so glad to hold her and hear that beautiful sweet cry!

Re: Pregnancy After Loss (Jan 16-31)

Cristy - Congrats! What a beautiful little one!

Jamie & Erica - Yay for hearing those sweet little HBs!

Andrea - Poor J! Does the baby acne seem to bug him much? I'm sure the dry winter weather isn't helping much either. Unless it's just dry & cold here in IL?

AFM - Just coasting along here. 34w now, which means just 3 more short weeks until induction if MFM & my OB stick to the current plan. With 2x/week dr appts, I know the time will fly by. Just trying to make it through the days here. I'm still working my 12 hour shifts and by the end of the day (even before the end) I'm exhausted. I just worked 3 days in a row, had a mandatory meeting this morning and have to work another 12 tomorrow. Ugh. The little miss is still doing well on the NSTs. Though the contractions have been picking up, they still don't seem concerned so I guess I won't be either.

Hope all are doing well! I've been reading along.

Five days ago, I gave birth to our sweet baby girl. God DOES know what we can handle and man, is He great. The heart ache and pain I felt last year was horrible, I am not going to lie. But the pure joy I felt holding my first and only daughter in my arms was a whole new feeling that I can never imagine NOT feeling.

Here is my rainbow baby, Laila Amelia. She was born Jan. 15th at 2:09 a.m. She weighed 7 lbs 15 ozs and was 21.5 inches long. I birthed her naturally and it was an incredible experience. When I get around to it, I will type up my story; short as it was..(hehe) and share on here.

I never thought this day would come but man am I thankful and grateful to God for all He has given us!

Congrats mama! I love seeing our little rainbows

Things are coming along over here. I have less then 8 weeks left until my rainbow is born since babies in my family come early. I spent the last few weeks getting everything together for the homebirth and making sure I have enough diapers / nursing supplies. My Blessingway is in a couple weeks and I just cannot wait, it will be so much fun! I hope everyone is doing well
