Sorry about the plumbing Kari!

I did some planning for tomorrow. Made a revision sheet about perimeter. Entered some comments into report cards. Fun fun fun! Now I am watching Dance Moms because my brain is fried and I don't want to mess anyone's report card up inadvertently. :/

Cheryl, you might want to make sure you can enforce the walk to school thing before it gets too too warm. That way they would know you CAN enforce it, and it might make the, think twice. Or maybe not. Who knows!

I made carrot soup for supper, and while good, I am kinda still hungry. Hmmm.

There are like half a dozen on sale, if you go to the Sale section, then Women, then Jackets and Coats. I'm leaning towards this one, not sure what color and not sure if I should go L or XL (for hip girth, LOL).

I know, right? I was so sure when I said it the first time last fall that I would have enforced it before it got remotely cold. Never in a million years thought I would have to face enforcing it in subzero temps. And I swear it's not just me being a wimpy Texan, they closed several public school districts not that far away due to windchill. Apparently they do that here. I didn't even know they did, I thought they just kept everyone inside. But I'm pretty sure I lit a fire under them tonight, and they will not be late tomorrow.

Gah. LandsEnd sent out a mass email 90 minutes ago promoting the sale. So now my coat is only available in beige, black, and silver in my size. Grrr. Well, I got it anyway because tomorrow they might not have any in my size.

I don't know that they have ever closed schools due to cold here. I don't know how cold it would have to be for that to happen? If none of the school busses started, they would cancel bus services, but the schools would remain open.

Then again, I have waited for a school bus in -52* weather, so I guess school busses are pretty good at running given the right stuff to do so. Not that I have any idea what it takes to run a bus in that weather!

Canada is a different beast, Mel. And remember I am in Detroit, armpit of the US with the horrific poverty rate. I tell ya Rosie's old school, half of them did not wear snowpants or snow boots all winter, even though the school had programs for people who could not afford them. Seriously expected the kids to stay on the blacktop or not go outside. I wonder what those kids did today. Probably stayed home.

Aaaaannnddd it's going to snow again tomorrow. Just enough to mess up the roads and make them unsafe. Spectacular.

Well, the whole weather system will be gone in about a week, after my new coat arrives. You are all welcome.
