Re: Would you buy allergy friendly treats from a small business online?
I voted no because there is too much potential for cross contamination.

Re: Would you buy allergy friendly treats from a small business online?
Thanks for the responses.
![]() I'm curious for people that said no b/c of their concern with a home kitchen being truly allergen-free/safe/etc, would it make a difference if it's an inspected/certified kitchen? Also, I have all of the packaging, etc to seal/preserve items in small or large quantities (industrial grade vacuum sealers and so on) as well as other tools. Items I've thought about selling include candies, cookies, treats/snacks, seasonal/holiday specific items, pies, breads... |

Re: Would you buy allergy friendly treats from a small business online?
I answered no for a couple reasons. 1 hard to be able to sell food out of a home kitchen and meet regs for your home state and be ok to ship to other states. 2 moms of allergic kids are nervous for very valid reasons and I don't know that people don't know you personally would be comfortable 3 allergies are so unique in the level of sensitivity and combinations of allergies that it would be hard to create and test recipes
I think you could do this locally where people can meet you face to face and leverage relationships and connections than online. Good luck!

I think you *could* sell but I don't think it would be something big. Like pp said, allergy parents are cautious to begin with. I think I prlly wouldn't if my kiddos had severe allergies unless there was certification of some kind. Sorry mama!
Ignore typos...probably nursing, typing with one finger on my left hand while wrangling two toddlers. yeah, I'm that good.
