When you freeze it into cubes. How do thaw it? And serve? I know most frozen baby food gets microwaved. But I wouldn't think avocados do.

Re: Avocado

I would mash it and add a little breastmilk or formula so it tastes familiar, and is a similar consistency he is used to

I used avocados too when we were starting to use solid foods for the baby. We used bananas as well. All I did was slice it into very small pieces. Sometimes, I mash it too so the baby can easily digest it in the stomach. I did the same thing with the bananas.

Re: Avocado

Wow, mixing it with banana is a great idea! It was my baby's first food, but she really didn't seem to take to it like she did with other foods like bananas and sweet potatoes, so I haven't bought anymore since. I'll have to try this.

We tried avocados a couple of days and she didn't like it . We are onto bananas but if we get the same reaction I will add some breast milk. Good idea!

My ds2 wasn't a huge fan at first, but I mixed them with sweet potatoes and now he likes it.
