I don't know though - I recently found out I have a tilted something that might be why the cup didn't work so well for me, so I am definitely going to have to ask questions when I go in to talk about this stuff! The guy who did the speculum exam at my first pregnancy appt was a student and sorta tore me up real good cause he didn't know things could be tilted like that. Advertisement

Re: BC/family planning after the baby?
I am considering ParaGard- but we want at least 1 more child with a minimum of 2.5 yrs spacing. We had a hard time getting pg with DS and never really prevented after him. I have PCOS and don't cycle regularly so IDK. Possibly breastfeeding and pull and pray for a couple of years.

Re: BC/family planning after the baby?
We haven't really talked about BC after Baby L is born, but this is our first and we know we want two no more than 2-3 years apart. I suppose we should probably talk about it considering we are due in 10 weeks! ...YIKES!

Re: BC/family planning after the baby?
I won't do hormonal birth control (the patch made my BP soar and the Mirena IUD was just a nightmare for me) ever again. We do a mix of condoms/FAM. I'd recommend reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility. I haven't read it in a couple years, but they do have a section on breastfeeding.

Re: BC/family planning after the baby?
After 11 years of FAM/charting to either TTC or avoid (with a 10 month stint on Nuvaring that was awful), we are done done done! I'm getting a tubal during my c-section and have already signed the consent. I've read about all the risks and post tubal ligation syndrome, but this is the best option so I'm hoping I'm not one of them! We weren't sure after our second ds if we were done and that's why we never took any permanent measures to prevent, but now we know 150% that our family is complete.
