Kids are eating and I am about to throw some cookies together. I think chocolate chip. The boys are driving up to Canada and back tomorrow so I want to send some snacks with. Probably will make some oatmeal too.

I figure the kids are not going skiing until they master sledding.

If they can't steer a sled, they aren't going to be able to master french fries/pizza.

Skating I am not sure. The free ice pad last year is not out this year, I confirmed. But there may be another one not too far away. I like the idea of small ice pads with no walls because I can walk alongside and help without skating myself, and I don't have to worry about someone falling through the ice into the lake.

I'm obviously not much of a winter sports person. I have done all three, and can do them fairly well, but I don't particularly care for any of it.

Hi all!

It is Thursday, and tomorrow is a PA day, so really it is more like a Friday! Yay!!

E and I are having tacos for supper. They are yummy, but I made my spice mix a bit hotter than usual. E doesn't seem to care, though. Ru is at a board meeting, but I hope she is home soon.

We had a 20 degree difference (Celsius) between the temp yesterday and the temp today. With blizzard-type snow. Lovely!!

Oh, and our new computer is here!

Our first-ever Mac computer. Man oh man I can't wait to boot it up to work on report cards after supper!

So I bought the stuff to patch the holes in the basement, and it is actually supposed to be put on while it's still wet and/or leaking, because it is designed to draw all the moisture out as it dries. So I could fix it now if I want to. Probably will wait until daylight though.

I also looked at different options to replace the pegboard and dang! All of it is so expensive. I may just put up that hard foam insulation instead, it's way cheaper.

Not very pretty, but it's not like pegboard is pretty either. I could put contact paper on it if I didn't like looking at it.

Apparently here it only snows hard while I am driving.

I am starting to take it personally. It's not that cold, only 20F, but the wind is pretty brutal. I am SO glad I bought that long down coat. I know it is overkill for the natives, but for me I am toasty. :grin:

Jerry and MH foraged for themselves for dinner while I did taxes. We need one more form before I can file Federal Taxes. I have done the state ones. Love that I can file NM taxes for Free on a state website. so easy

I am online on the new computer! And the new computer allowed me to upgrade the OS on the iPad! and my report cards are basically done!

Makes up for the tired, AF-induced attitudes that both adults in my house have right now.
