They should be able to do it by about 2.5 I'd say. Much younger for some kids though.

I'd say 18-24 months as well.

My daughter got some of those for Christmas from her grandma and just pulled the pieces out and wouldn't put them back together.

I took one of the easier ones and sorta drew the picture on the board backing. She was able to figure it out pretty well like that. I didn't do details or anything, but like a foot or whatever.

she's 2.. but her idea of fun with puzzles is very short-lived.

Definitely depends on the kid. I'd say typical range of around 18mo - 3y

Honestly, I never pay attention to age recommendations. If you have puzzles like that and you have younger children, encourage them to try and do it along with them.

mine could both do something like this before 2, around 20-22 months. But average probably later than that, maybe 2-3?. Mine have just been really good at puzzles and loved puzzles.
