Pre-kinder

So me and a local mamma are gonna switch off kiddoes a couple times a week, i will have mine and her, and she will have mine and her probably about twice a week, and we will do our own thing on the other days, it gives us time to go to the store for food for the week. We are thinking 1-2 hours a day. I have never home school or even really looked into it.

What are some sites i can look at to give me some ideas as what to do with them. Tomorrow is my first day with both boys, and i have my couple of hours planned already so day one i covered..lol Mainly doing the five senses, which i'm so excited about. I also have laminated letters they can trace with markers and wipe off, and ABC flash cards, we wont be all doing it tomorrow...but i do have some stuff figured out i guess..lol

She use to be a teacher for preK and Kinder..so she has a bunch of stuff we can do, but i dont want to put it all on her to figure out what i can do with the boys too.

Are there any good sites i can get idea from and print stuff out?

any help is great...

Maybe you have some kinder stuff for sale that will help me out?

Thank you all for your time..

Sherrie

I haven't started homeschooling yet, but the Helpful Homeschooling Links sticky is a good place to start researching. Also, searching the homeschool forum for pre-k might help.

Re: Pre-kinder

this is a great one which gives books, crafts, abcs, handwriting, etc...it is Christian, but if you are not wanting to integrate the Bible, you can always omit those parts.

A great site for free printables, ideas and a curriculum would be http://www.confessionsofahomeschooler.com/ and http://www.1plus1plus1equals1.com/

Just have fun! Keep it light and mostly play and you will do great.

It sounds like a great idea.

TONS of ideas on pinterest! Do you have an account there? I can help you look for things if you like. You can browse some of my stuff I have pinned here: http://pinterest.com/happymomto5/educational-ideas/

if you aren't familiar with pinterest just click a picture from album then click it again after it pops up and it will take you to the blog or website I pinned from.

This is SUCH a fun age to teach!

This site has some great lesson plans with links to songs and things. It is free!
