Another no-poo question

I just started no poo and my hair is dry and has a lot of static after washing. I did the wash as 1 tablespoon of backing soda to 1 cup of water. The rinse is 1 tavlespoon of acv to 1 cup of water.

What should I change to help with the dryness? My hair feels like straw from being dry.

It has the straw/wiry feeling immediately after washing. Day 2 is better but as a lot of static. Day 3 is when it gets greasy and I normally wash that day.

Mine was like that when I did it the first time. I diluted the baking soda more and before I washed my hair again a massaged coconut oil all through my hair and let it sit for a while (at least an hour). Then I washed with the bs and acv. It didn't wash out all the oil, my hair was really moisturized afterward. It got greasy a little faster too, but it lasted through my next washing. That's where I'm at now (I just started Tuesday), so I'm hoping my hair and scalp will regulate out soon. I'll probably coconut oil again every week or two and I also use it when it's dry to get rid of the static, just a light layer on my hands and then run my hands over my hair. Hope that helps.

My iDevices are out to get me. Please excuse mistakes.

Re: Another no-poo question

I have static-y hair too. For me it's just the dryness of where I live now. I use a lot more baking soda though! like 5 or 6 Tablespoons...I wonder if I'm using too much.

I think some of the static is from the dry climate but I can't stand how stiff my hair is after washing.

I am going to try and cut back on the bs to see if that helps and will also try to coconut oil.
