Any babywearers with shoulder injuries?
A few years ago I had a major injury to my shoulder that left me with only 20% use. I can't put a lot of weight on it and can't hold anything above 15-20 pounds. Obviously, this is going to be an issue with a baby so I'm hoping I can find some good carrier solutions. I have a Moby and an Ergo that I won on blog contests years ago but gave those to my sister and she "misplaced" them (i.e. I'm pretty sure she sold them and just won't admit it). We are on a budget so basically starting from scratch. I am getting a Baby K'Tan but want a few options in case something ends up not working with my shoulder.
Basically, something with wider straps would work better and I'd love something that puts more weight on the back on my shoulders by the shoulder blade rather than the front by the collar bone. All suggestions welcome! US made and WAHM preferred! |
