Re: Tax Refund part 2

You can call or check the status online. This link has directions for both:

Ours had form 8863 and when I go to check it on the website I filed through it says they won't even start processing it until mid February... Which is annoying because I did them on like January 12th or something!

Re: Tax Refund part 2

Finally talk to someone at IRS today. After talking with my CPA, she said that they where really looking at returns where the last name of any children on the return did not match the adults on the return in an attempt to reduce those who are trying to claim children that they should not be claiming. Just great, my oldest has a different last name than the rest of us. I really hope that does not hold ours up. I learned from the IRS guy that even though the CPA said ours was accepted on the 29th and I checked it on the 30th and it said accepted his screen said that it was not accepted until the 31st.

Oh well that's just great! Both my older two have different last names than I do (one is maiden, one is married). GAH! I understand why they feel the need to do that but it sucks! My return is pretty cut and dry and it's not like I'm getting a high dollar amount back, plus it's the same two I claim every.single.time I file taxes so hopefully it's not delayed too long.

We all don't have the same names! Never stopped us before! Hope it's not this year though! We are getting a nice return this year!

What does wmr stand for?

I hope the last name thing doesn't hold mine up! That's stupid bc I know tons of mamas who's children have different last names then their children.
