Re: 2013 Get Moving/Keep Moving (daily exercise thread)

Managed 2 miles at a decent pace today. I then went and coached the marathon club for my kids. I did the end run with them (15-20 minutes) and did several sprints with my various children. I think I just figured out how my speed work is going to get done for the next 2 months. It was super fun.

Still no running for me. Yesterday, I did a leg workout which seemed to actually make my knee feel pretty good. I spent another 30+ minutes using the foam roller on my IT band, ouch.

So far today my knee feels pretty good but I don't think I am going to give running a try yet. So I am going to foam roll again and will do a back and bicep workout.

30 minutes in your it band?! Wow it must really hurt!

Good job on the lifting

I have been really focusing on my IT band, glutes, quads, hamstrings and calves.

My legs are full of knots.

Better to rest for several days, than create an injury. I've been taking it easy also, because of my toe. I think I will try walking tomorrow, I've gotta do something!

20/30 min kettleball and light cardio. Little one woke up, and I forgot to eat bfast before I worked out, so I did less than planned.

Yesterday was a rest day.

Today is a chest and tricep workout. My knee has been feeling pretty good so I may try a run tomorrow.

Last recovery run got canceled by the husband. He is leaving for supercross 7 hours before it begin and I have all 3 kids. Including the one who just got her braces on yesterday. No way will she get on a bike for me.
