Are these more absorbent than Birdseye cotton?
Thats great! I look forward to your review. I would say these are definitely more absorbent than birdseye in that 6 layers of this seems more equivellant to 12 of birdseye cotton.

Hilary, I did snappi a Flip organic and it was hard, the teeth kept sliding right off, just like with flannel. With these I can snappi them as long as I get the first set of teeth in, which is slightly less easy than birdseye but way easier than flannel or a flip organic. The teeth do not slide for me once I have the first arm attached. I don't know if this will change over time as they are used more or not. I hope that helps!

Re: My Flip Daytime insert review with pics

Glad I could help everyone!

So, I decided to give them the ulitmate test and used one as my night diaper (with a doubler of course!) We ordinarily do a flat with a preemie pf as a doubler under wool or fleece so i decided to treat these as a flat.

I wrapped one on her with a preemie pf as a doubler. (so easy to put on her compared to a flat with the doubler because of the stretch) and snappied it on under a Staccinator fleece cover. She slept in it all night and 13 hours later had no leaks. And she nurses all night long. The Flip insert was definitely wet this morning but no wetter than the flat we usually use. Keep in mind I do not have a heavy wetter. With my other dd a flat with a preemie pf would never have held her all night and she didn't even nurse all night long. But it worked great for this one. I am thinking I need more of these.

You are such a help! I think these are going to be my whole stash!
Do these seem like they would be easy to hand wash and hang dry pretty quick like a regular flat?

Are you sure they don't just feel much stretchier because they are only one layer vs lots of layers sewn together and silkier because they are new?
Mine are the same material as the bge and other flip organic inserts. They just feel different because of the amount of layers. Btw, they are really nice

I am honestly not sure of that. They are thicker than a birdseye flat, more like a cotton knit, like a t shirt. I think the handwashing would be fine, but they do take a little longer to dry in the dryer than my birdseye flats do.

I was in my local cloth diaper store yesterday and I made a point of feeling the inside of a BGE. It felt very similar to me and silky and smooth just like the insert.
