Re: If I had never found diaper swappers......

I would have just used FBs or G-Diapers (pretty much all I had heard of) and probably gotten pretty sick of them.

I would not have gone insane buying a 3 pack of Sbish shorties (which I love, but WTH that was a HUGE spluge!)

I might not have thought to use cloth wipes and would be wasting money on sposie wipes.

Re: If I had never found diaper swappers......

I would not have tried wool and given fitteds another chance after the Kissaluv 0's were such a poor match to my son...just not absorbant enought at all and almost made me give up cloth altogether. Even though I am a knitter, I never would have trusted wool to be as waterproof as it is, somehow. And longies are so awesome- I never would have found out about making your own longies from recycled sweaters.

Even though I'm Canadian, I never would have tried Motherease diapers without recommendations from mamas here...and Large Sandy's bamboo are now my faves, and I think my son likes them, too.

On the other hand, if I hadn't joined DS, I also wouldn't own a garish orange MEAF cover with wacked out cartoon animals on it either! I never would have bought that, but with my trial offer from ME site, I ordered a "Savannah1" (which is white with retro animals) and there must be a shortage cause I ended up with "Savannah2". OMG it is so weird looking and my son loves it and always pulls it out of the laundry basket! It is an excellent bullet-proof cover, but wow...fugly.

I would have
-kept using gDiapers and wondering if that's all there was
- never know how many types and kinds and price points diapers come in
- never tried fitteds, pre fitteds, or making my own diapers
- never thought of receiving blankets as diaper stuffers- this is my new go to baby shower gift for the "cloth curious" a couple covers and a 6 pack of receiving blankets
- would have dealt with diaper rash by switching to disposables
- never would have thought there was a market for used!!!

I'd be in medical school instead of working in a patent for a new cloth diaper!

Re: If I had never found diaper swappers......

have still had an all BG pocket stash even though they weren't really working for us

discovered ERF'ing, mama cloth

learned to knit and sew

made so many awesome cloth diapering friends

sold any used diapers, I couldn't imagine anyone would buy them

My house would be much cleaner!!!

But I never would have:

Taken the plunge into full time cloth diapering

Cloth diapered a newborn

Considered mama cloth as anything other than insane

Bought used diapers

I would have more time to do things around the house (like clean & craft!)

I would have given up on cloth diapering or just stuck with AI2 (which ironically I am back to

I also wouldn't have had this much fun & enjoyment out of diapers.

Dreading when diapers aren't needed because ... Then, what will entertain me?!
