Early 90's Civic, Accord, or Camry ?
DH is getting a cheap little commuter car this weekend. We will only ever have to use seats in it in the event of an emergency when I'm not home or if our other vehicle needs to be in the shop for a few days. We have a Complete Air 65 & a My Ride 65. Are they even going to fit into such a tiny car? We have Radians on the way to use in our Scion xB to free up the middle seat. I know these 2 seats are huge in the Scion so I'm concerned they won't fit in the little car at all. Any experience?

Re: Early 90's Civic, Accord, or Camry ?
I have a 2000 Camry and I got it for the SOLE reason that I can put 3 carseats in the back. I have done it. It works. I had 2 infant buckets and a HBB. The infant buckets were in the ends and the HBB in the middle. Now the driver and passager was WAY forward, but it worked. I just wouldn't want to do it everyday.
Here is the Radian in there: ![]() Here is the front seat with that in the back: ![]() My son's Frontier SICT in center position (typically a large seat) ![]() ![]() My Camry is a 2000 LX maxed out. If it had any more on it it would be the next level.

I drive a 1992 Camry. I have DD RFing in the middle seat and her Scenera comes between the front seats. Her bucket seat was the same way. You'll have to put the front seats far forward to fit RFing seats behind them...that doesn't work for us because DH is 6'3", lol.

Also Camry and Accord are your larger options. I don't know what chance you'd have working it out in a Civic or Corolla.

Thanks. We are very short so that isn't an issue. I guess we will try it out then sell the seats for something smaller like Easy Fits if they don't fit. It's very, very rare that we will need to actually use this car with car seats but I want something that I know would fit.

Re: Early 90's Civic, Accord, or Camry ?
We test drove a new civic last summer and couldn't get the three of us in it comfortably with DS's RF Radian. The passenger seat had to be all the way forward and tipped forward so that no one could sit there. I was stuffed in the back seat behind DH and it was awful. That 2012 civic was way bigger than DH's old 1993 civic. I would say a Camry would be a much better bet.

Re: Early 90's Civic, Accord, or Camry ?
It really just depends on what the gods of Craigslist offer us this weekend as far as what car he gets. He's only spending $2,500 or less so there aren't many options. I am positive the kids will never ride on this car since I rarely leave the house by myself or with one child. But I'm not going to uninstall and reinstall Radians in the event that we do have to use the car with the kids so I've got to have something. I'm not opposed to selling our seats and buying some cheap, small seats. I don't want to since we have good seats but there needs to be something that can be used in the car. We'll see. He's buying tomorrow most likely. It will be interesting to see if they can fit in there. They won't be in there full time; just in the garage in the event that he needs to put them in.

Re: Early 90's Civic, Accord, or Camry ?
Just something to keep in mind - an early 90's car with original seatbelts will have seatbelts that are around 20 years old. Many car experts recommend replacing seatbelts that old, because the webbing might just not be strong enough to contain a person (or car seat) in a crash. Sort of like car seat expire, seatbelts age and perform less well over time.
