TV show she hasn't seen on DVD? I know those middle of the night nurse-a-thons are hard when you're exhausted. Having something to watch helped keep me awake.

Here's what I usually do:

Bravado bodysilk bra (easy to figure sizing and comfy)
Lanolin
Earth Mama Angel Baby bottom balm (amazing!)
Aden and Anais blankets

I am not very "crunchy" either TBH and all the cremes, etc I would I just stuck in the back of a cabinet and forgotten about. Obviously I would have told friend they were great and I loved them. ...

Gift cards for food (take out type places) or delivered food. That's what we would have loved!

Since your gift seems to have a breastfeeding theme... make sure to put everything in a cute basket that she can add a water bottle, magazine, tv remote, extra disposable breast pads, burp cloths... Then she can move that basket to wherever she's nursing. I started with a "station" at one chair, then moved to the couch, and I do use the nursery sometimes at night. I'd use more lanolin and hand creme (and not have tender nipples and alligator hands) if I'd just put it in a basket nearby when I'm nursing.
