Paying via paypal when you have a balance ?

Is there a way to send paypal when you have a paypal balance but would rather pay with a credit card? Or do I just have to empty my paypal balance then pay? I like credit card rewards and having everything I buy on one statement.

I think if you have a balance you have to use that first.

Yup! You do. There's no way around it.

If your dh has a pp account, send him your balance as a personal payment. Then after you use your cc to purchase what you are wanting, transfer it back

yea I HATE this. sometimes I prefer to use a credit card instead and keep some in pp. I've had to use alternate e-mails that don't have a pp account with them in order to use a credit card. so much trouble- wish they wouldn't force us into using pp.

Just have them invoice you and do a one time payment with your card. Same protection, receipt and all, email notification of label printing, etc. Just no balance issues.

Yes, I just end up transferring my balance back to my bank account so I can use my card to pay for things. I wish it were possible to set a credit card as the default payment option, but it will only allow credit card payments when there is a zero balance.

You can transfer it to your account or you can sign out of your account, then pay with a credit card from the PP homepage. That's what I do.
