I don't know for sure about Provera during BFing...but I'm assuming that BFing is causing you not to ovulate/menstruate. Though w/ only 4 periods a year normally have you ever been tested for PCOS and/or insulin resistance?

Nope. My doctor nor MW ever mentioned being tested. I was curious about .

I would definitely look into why your periods are so infrequent. Read up on PCOS and insulin resistance and see if any other symptoms match.
