How close to due date did you keep working?

Same here. Was induced on a Friday, worked until Thursday night.

Nope. Never. I've been with my company 6 years, and we're a small place. Everyone was super excited for me and since the majority of us here are women, they would always ask for updates on my progress. I got lots of gifts, flowers, etc. from the people at my work.

The only thing was that my co workers thought I should take it easy and wouldn't let me be as active in the office. I like being active though. My work load was lessened, minor mistakes were let go, etc. I almost felt like they weren't taking me seriously as an employee, but it was only because they cared. Towards the end of my pregnancy, I flubbed up numerous times, even though I had more time to do things. Pregnancy brain is no fun. And then you move onto Mommy brain. It never ends!

I was in Labor my last day of work and didn't even realize it. So I guess that counts until the end. LOL

With my first, I stopped working about a week before his due date (and he was five days late) - with my second (I'm due in April), I plan to work right up until he comes - but I work from home, so it's not really that hard - with my first I was just so excited I couldn't focus anymore once I got that close!

I worked up to the day I had both my sons. Even though you feel like absolute crap at the end of pregnancy, the time after with your baby is so much more valuable and needed. My last three weeks at work was always treated with the caveat that I could be gone any day, and everyone was very understanding.

I worked until my contractions started a week after my due date. Besides the "omg, you're STILL here comments" it wasn't so bad. I went to work the morning labor started because I wasn't convinced labor had actually started, I had heard of too many people having contractions start then stop and I didn't want to sit at home all day if nothing was going to happen.

With ds, I went on leave at 36 weeks (drs orders). I had him at 38+4.

With my dd I worked until 39 weeks. She was born on her due date.

with my oldest i was in school. i went through fall term but as it would be hard to take 6 weekoff i didnt go baqck to school for week before baby was due then she was late...i think first you will be ok.

I'm working until my due date, I'm a school nurse and that way I'll only miss 11 days of work before the summer, and I won't get any paid as I haven't been here a year yet.
