Whats wrong with my dd?
Ok first a catch up...dd has severe eczema dermatologist says. 2 steroids by mouth and 1 cream...but having to stop a few days bc she's having a gi scope of tummy and upper intestines in am. She has tummy issues and has hycosamine in needed times. Along with her gi she will have a cbc and stool culture done (if i can collect enough since she poops very little a day and doesnt eat but maybe (16 oz of her alimentum a day). She has had a cough every now & then during the day for months. her ezczema rash has been on her since november. She woke up the other week with one eyes corner completely red think a blood spotting...now that same side of that one eye is completely bloodshot. I don't know what it could be...could it be something bad? I dunno...everything keeps happening...she's allergic to lots it seems. They are suppose to do an allergy test with the gi scope biopsies of her belly. The one thing the specialist already knew from 1st exam was shed been bloated awhile since her stomach muscles were stretched out awhile but all she eats is her milk, gerber graduate puffs, ritz crackers, little food very rarely but has to have oatmeal in every bottle due to bad reflux and can't eat rice without belly issues...and no milk products since she can't handle it or milk formulas...also pray her procedure goes well...please...it's 5 hours away we have to travel...she'll have an enema and be put to sleep for it...

Re: Whats wrong with my dd?
I would get her off all of that wheat, first of all. She may be Celiac!
If they are already doing a biopsy of her gut, that is the only way to confirm Celiac 100%. How old is she? |

Her rash is going away but I think the cream is working without the liquid by mouth so I'm gonna not give it and see. She will be 1 year old on February 27th. She's had to have oatmeal in every bottle since she can't use rice cereal for her reflux since rice gives her belly problems even worse...she has severe reflux. I don't know how long the tests will take to get back but Dr said biopsies would take 3 minutes. She said 3 biopsies of belly and 3 of upper intestines. She told me once the results get back to see what she's allergic to in het biopsies then she could give her meds and shed be good to eat whatever she wanted and shed get her appetite back. I had to do stool samples today but since she barely eats she barely goes so I hope her little tablespoon if that is enough...

Re: Whats wrong with my dd?
The allergy test takes a couple weeks. DS tested positive for a ton of stuff that he hadn't shown classic reactions to. Don't change diet before the tests, though, or you won't get an accurate test.

But I was confused...they can do an allergy test with her blood or the biopsies? I thought maybe I must have mistaken what she said but then she told me that once the did the biopsies and complete blood work up they could pit her on the right track...I dunno just worried...haven't been been to sleep in 24 hours and before that maybe 4 hours a night. She only sleeps maybe 5-6 hours a night if I'm lucky and maybe one 30 min to 1 hour nap a day...

Enema done...waiting on anthiesaligist...sorry can't spell it to come in and then she'll go have it done and we will wait...

When you talk about the on going cough, that really sounds like asthma, especially since eczema & allergies may be an issue. Those 3 commonly go together, eczema, allergies & asthma. We all have asthma here but we just cough, we never wheeze. Some drs aren't familiar with asthma enough & will insist if you aren't wheezing, it's not asthma but that's not true. I often find the cough can be worse at night but not always.
When you talk about "her milk" what is she on now? Is she avoiding all dairy, like any dairy ingredients or just cows milk?

Ill have to get that checked. Her milk is alimentum. Dr came in took biopsies...said her esophagus was gritty and she didn't know why and she could get intestines because she had balls of poop with blood all around them but she took a biopsies of those...even though she'd had an emema 15 minutes earlier...blood isn't good but her being a dr should she have been worried??? She said shed call in 7 days and that anything that could be wrong with anyone's stomach even hers was completely treatable. So we are still waiting for her to wake up so she can drink and get an I've out but so far she won't wake up...my brother has this issue afterwards too so maybe soon???
