My answer is, I'm not sure. My oldest is nearly 5 (weaned at 38 months) and I am currently tandem nursing a 26mo and 6 mo. I am only posting to help you realize how you won't really think about it. Each baby is an individual and will nurse more or less based on their own needs. At this point, I'm only a little over a year out from my last 1 year old, but I couldn't tell you what they were doing. Do what is right for your baby because you won't remember when they're 5, 10 or 20 what their nursing habits were.
