Do PFs HAVE to be 100% cotton?

I have curtains that are 70% cotton and 30% polyester. I don't have a budget for NB cloth. I have covers and 12 premie PFs but want enough so that I can keep same. Can I use the curtains to make the rest of my stash?

I'm sorry that I don't have an answer for you, but I just wondered if you have considered using pad folded flour sack towels from target or Walmart? They are about 4 for $3.99 and such a great option for small budgets.
I love mine and use them daily.

Or 100% cotton sheets? You can get them pretty cheap, even at a thrift store, just bleach em up

Polyester can cause smell issues, I know I've read that. I'm not sure if its bad or anything though.

Or upcycled tee shirts? Some polys absorb, some don't, they're synthetics made in different ways, pour water on it, if it beads up I would find something else.

The Walmart flour sack towels can serve you well for quite awhile. There is a fold in my sig that helps you resize them for all covers, just overlap where needed to get the initial square. That overlapped spot will be extra thick, so put it in front for extra absorbency!

27 " squares out of anything cotton will work great too. Don't fuss too much about the right fold... If it goes in the cover its fine!
