I doubt I would go to the ER. But, I certainly wouldn't wait til Monday.

Call your doctor again, BEG him to at least do a urine test to see. If not, take all seven kids today to the doctor. If all seven kids are yours, it's not like you have never left the house with seven kids. If some of those kids belong to other people, have one of those moms watch all the kids while you go in.

Make your husband come home and watch all seven kids.

Call a friend to come over.

Call a family member to come over.

There is no reason to be in pain, or possibly cause a serious infection. You could cause irreversible kidney damage to yourself by toughing it out.

There's no special prize given out to the mom who has put their kids ahead of their own health at the end of life. You can't take care of your family if you are sick.

Hey Everyone-
Dh took the day off (cost us $400 ) for me to go to the ER today.
I spent 4.5 hours there and they told me I have the flu and the pain is just sore muscles.
I seriously want to cry. I went home cause what else am I supposed to do but I think I need to find another hospital later today. I am SURE it's a kidney infections - I have blood in my urine (which the hospital knew about - they were the ones that found it in the urine test), I have swollen fingers, hip and groin pain, back pain, and a headache. I am like the poster child for kidney infection but the ER didn't even do a blood test and we lost a huge chunk of DS's pay cheque all to find out nothing. OH AND they teated me like a drug seeker and didn't so much as offer an advil and I didn't want to ask because all I wanted was some antibiotics and to go home.

I hate E.Rs. I love our local Urgent cares though.

The E.R closest to my house is ALWAYS full of drug addicts. So, I can see why they think that, it seems to be pretty common in our area.

I had a REALLY rough night and morning and took an advil every two hours which wasn't helping. My mom found an Chiro and got me an emergency appointment cause she figured he would at least be able to tell me if the back pain was likely a back issue or a kidney issue. Turns out it's a bit of both. He was AMAZING and did a LOT of work on my spine. He was able to tell a lot about me just by feeling my back (he knew about my whiplash, traumatic birth of DD, slipped disk, headaches etc). My back feels a bit better (there were even a few times where it didn't hurt at all today!) AND evidentally he can treat my bladder infection. I don't really belive in alternative medicine but I am certainly willing to try anything at this point. I already feel a bit better - only had two advil today instead of the 6 I had planned. I am to go back every second or third day for two weeks and he is confident I can be pain free. I haven't been totally pain free since before DD was born - I just learned to live with it. I'm still going to my regular Dr on Monday but see maybe a light at the end of the tunnel now.

Kidney stone? After my dh passed his or it would move he would pee a lot.

Just hopping in to say that isn't typical for a chiro adjustment, but it doesn't surprise me considering your symptoms to start. Mostly likely the adjustment made it so things can start moving within your body again. When I was taking DS#2 for chronic ear infections, his nose would often start running like crazy shortly after he was adjusted.

I hope you continue to feel better. Sounds like you found a good chiro.

I am voting kidney stones too. ('cause people on the internet are the best docs....).
Except that should have shown up in the urinalysis.

I'm thinking kidney stone too I'm going to ask the Chiro tomorrow. It's AMAZING though how much better I feel. Now I just have the regular back pain I've had for months not the stabbing knife in my spine pain.
