Re: HELP! I need Lego & other teeny tiny toy storage solutions

I have found that my boys are not as into "organizing" their legos as I am so we use the long, rectangular, shallow style bins that can slide under the bed.

Because the bins are shallow, they can see everything and don't have to dump them to get what they want.

Of course, I do still attempt to keep minifigures and smaller accessories separate, so I have a few shoebox sized plastic bins for those. You could also use small food storage containers for the little stuff. Anything with a lid works well.

**Another tip I learned from a friend is using a dustpan to scoop legos during cleanup. It is so much faster!**

Great ideas!!!! I that table... I wish we had the extra $ right now for it. Maybe for his bday! I think I am getting one of those 3-drawer carts soon though. That is perfect.

ds got this from my parents for christmas...it's great because he organized them and sorted them by colors. And is able to take one container out and do downstairs with it. Or take a container to grandmas to build things.

That looks great! Any thoughts on how it would work for lego duplos? We aren't to the tiny lego stage yet but have tons of duplos!

I can check with our duplos...these boxes are about 3-4" tall each..so you may not be able to stick a bunch of duplos in.

for duplos we put them in the clear totes with lids
