Thai take-out is my weakness!!! I'm trying to learn to cook my favorite dish but I can't get it right. I'm too chicken to ask the restaurant owner how he makes it

DH takes any leftovers from the previous night's dinner for his lunch the next day.

My problem seems to be with list making, I'll have a good idea, but I don't sit down and go through my pantry and each recipe and inevitably I'll forget something important.

Maybe I should start taping my grocery list to my wrist like teachers do for small children when they have to send a note home, because I seem to ALWAYS forget my list when I have a lot to get.
lol I have to transfer my list to my phone as soon as I'm done otherwise I'm sure I'd never see it again!

I have a great recipe for chicken curry. It is pricy to get all the spices but they las a long time once you have them. We use basmati rice but you could sub whatever kind you like. I make raita to make it less spicy for little one. I used to go for Indian with friends monthly when I was working, and I do miss it. I also tried a yellow curry potatoes and peas once it was good but a little too much work. I use boneless chicken thighs from the freezer for the curry, it does kinda leave the smell in the house for a day though

Re: Happy Homemakers -- February 2013

I need to get back on track....again. Hoping this thread will help keep me accountable. Today will not seem too daunting but I work until 12:30 and then we have DDs speech assesment at 1 that will last until 3 or so and then we have to go pick up DS from grandmas house and then go home.

Make bed
Empty and reload dishwasher
Fold and put away 3 baskets of laundry
Clean bathroom
Clean my desk
Make dinner
Homework with DS
Sweep kitchen floor

And I am off to get ready for work! See you ladies later!
