Fetal Movement Making Noise???

Anyone ever hear a cracking/clicking noise when the baby kicks/rolls a lot?

I'm 37 weeks & I'm just sitting here, not moving, but the baby is going crazy & I heard this sound like a joint popping coming from my belly. Happened about 3 times. WEIRD.

Am I crazy? Has anyone else experienced this?

I've never experienced it but I read a thread on another board recently where several moms had heard it. I think it's rare, but normal :-)

I'm not pregnant now, but when I was, there were a few times where I'd hear a clicking sound. It was really odd!

I remember it with my first son...it was strange! But from what I read, normal

Its common and not the baby.

There are to parts of the amniotic sac. The amnion and chorion. Air can get trapped between the 2 layers (just like in your bones/joints) and make a popping sound just like cracking your knuckles.

. Has happened to me in all my pregnancies. This is why some women hear a pop when their water breaks.

Interesting! I definitely heard a couple of pops when my water broke. Strangest feeling ever.

except I've read that it's the 2 sacs coming in contact and kinda sticking together, then *snapping* apart.

Definitely normal. I've had it with all of my term pregnancies, too It's a weird sound though, and it gives me the shivers to hear it. Although, so does people cracking their knuckles and whatnot.

I had this with my 3rd child! It was so strange not sure if it had anything to do with it, but she was VERY active in the womb (and out for that matter!)

Weird. I had this with my DD but thought I was just crazy. When she was born she was suspected of having hip dysplacia (sp?) because her hip popped when her leg was rotated but I went away.
