As someone who suffered for many years with hyperhydrosis and still tends toward being sweaty and smelly, I have had a lot of difficulty with finding a natural deodorant that works. Many trials later, I think I have a recipe for success. It contains 2-3x as much odor neutralizing properties (naturally extracted baking soda, which is key to making it less irritating, and french pressed zinc oxide) as DIY recipes I have looked at and an EO that has been studied in the Middle East for its ability to reduce sweat production on the areas to which it has been applied.

With some friends who were expecting, I had also been looking at natural diaper rash treatments and was sometimes alarmed by ingredients like neem (in terms of infant safety) or simply thought I could make something more hypoallergenic and luxe. I've made diapersticks for a couple of friends (feedback so far is "Love it" with lots of exclamation points), but they are sposie moms. And I do not have a LO in diapers.

Therefore, I am looking for feedback on any and all aspects of their cloth diaper use. There is a modest amount of zinc oxide included in the stick. From research online, it seems that zinc oxide may stain some microfiber and fleece on diapers but that it is does not require stripping; in other words, it is the other components of zinc oxide creams that require stripping in some CDs. However, please use your own discretion as to whether or not you need a liner, etc.! I am hoping some of you can confirm for me that they are cloth diaper safe.


Ingredients: organic coconut oil, organic white (extra-filtered) beeswax, french pressed zinc oxide, arrowroot (tapioca) powder, organic cold-pressed sesame oil, natural vitamin e, organic tamanu oil, olive oil (15 % zinc oxide)

Apply a thin layer at the first sign of rash. This is designed so that you shouldn't need to goop it on as much as most creams, making it longer lasting. Store in temperature controlled environments. Disclaimer: If you have any medical conditions, consult with your licensed physician before using this (or any) cosmetic product.

I also plan to make slow-dissolving germ-fighting (thieves oil type combo) and aromatherapeutic (for relaxation and concentration) shower disks.

I have yet to find a working deodorant and I'm sure I'm not alone. I'd be interested in a natural deodorant that worked.

Huxley, you are the second person to indicate interest in the deodorant sticks, although the other person's mailbox is perpetually full. Since I have only been making those in a soap bar shape for personal use, it is unclear how many "recipes" it would take to fill a stick. It appears that ALL of the powders are somehow absorbed by the oil so that there is no increase in volume (despite using several times as much powder as oil).

That is all to say that I don't have any ready, and I wouldn't even know how to price them at cost yet. If it is ok, I would like to get back to you within the next couple of weeks. Thanks.
