Bumping simply because this is awesome, and I've been searching for it forever because I forgot to subscribe to it before.

And maybe someone else can benefit from it now!

Where do you get citric acid? I read (for a dishwasher detergent recipe) to use unsweetened lemon coolaid if you couldnt find it, so thats what I did.

Re: My cleaning schedule and Homemade cleaner recipes

Wow, this is an old one to get drug up! As for the citric acid, I order it from my soap making supplier. But my MIL found some at the hardware store and I found some at a grocery store.

Re: My cleaning schedule and Homemade cleaner recipes

Wow I would never have dreamt up that window cleaner. I'll cut and paste some of these for future reference.

One word re: vinegar and baking soda for drains. I've been using it for a while. It does not always work on the worst clogs, so it is a great idea (even if it seems wasteful) to do it occasionally for maintenance BEFORE it gets bad. Also, sometimes there is no replacement for taking things apart and pulling hair clumps out of the drain ;P.

I still use the same cleaners, and pretty much the same schedual, but not as structured now. This was part of my coping mechanism when I was working fulltime with a no prep time teaching load, AND being a full time master's student at night. So now it's a little more laid back now, but I still try to do a load of laundry a day, ect... I also now take my son to daycare, so I no longer have a half hour in the morning by myself.

New meal planning tips, nope. I pretty much do it the same way. I look around at what needs using, figure out what in the paper is on sale, and build from there.
