sick mommy, please help tonight

hello, I am hoping some mom is out there this late at night with advice.
I have a 3 week old baby I am BFing and now I am sick, vomiting, can't keep even water down. Is there anything I can take?

oh poor mamma.

Just take LITTLE sips of water....many many times through the day/night. Gulping will make you vomit. Also try sipping the 'syrup' from a can of peaches. (this coats your stomach kindof like the way pepto does.) Little sips is key. If you do the peach thing, make sure it is in 'syrup', not packed in juice.

Also try popsicles made from real fruit. (edy's and briers I think both have some)

Do you have any Dramamine? Phenergan? All of those are anti-emetics and are ok while nursing. I think gravol is the canadian "dramamine"

Thank you Mamas. Feel only queasy for the 4 am feeding, ate digestive cookies during BFing. Feel brave enough to try lightly buttered toast now.
Going to buy some gravol to have on hand for next time though. I HATE throwing up.

a drop of lemon juice under the tongue
water a tablespoon at a time (lemonade often stays down better and helps in a variety of ways)

I have been there too after last winter when I got the stomach bug twice and the flu once my baby was fine. I noticed that my supply went down but afterwards it went back to normal again. Hope you feel better soon!
