I agree. And not to be nit picky but its a $24.95 diaper. Basically $25 And a diaper that costs 25 bucks DEFINITELY shouldnt bunch IMO.

My point is the difference between the two is I can grab & go with one & put together & go with the other. My fave purse diapers for DS were flip w/flats or BG AIOs. So, yes it's a price diff, but moreover a case of convenience!

True it is more convenient..but there are quite a few aio's in that price range that are just as convenient and dont bunch...so I dont see why someone would choose to take one that bunches over something (like bottombumpers or grovia) that doesnt. I mean, I understand flips and flats and accepting the bunching bc hey, that is a cheap solution. But bge are not cheap. I guess i am one of those picky people but my daughters skin does get rashy with exposed pul ..i know this bc if we use a bummis pull on, the skin above her diaper (fitted) is slightly rashy. Its not bad enough for me to stop using them all together but i wouldnt use them 24/7 either bc i would imagine itd get worse. Those covers are 6.50 retail. There is no way i would buy a $20+ diaper that did that. To me, you spend over $20 for a single diaper it better be pretty darn close to diaper perfection.

Hope i worded that nicely. Definitely not trying to start a fight over in diaper chatter! Lol

Just when I was thinking of caving and tring one I find this thread. My PP thanks you, lol. I would not pay $25 for that amount of exposed pul. Yuk.

Re: new BGE Vs. Flip (and action shots) *UPDATED use pics

You know what the new BGE seems like to me? A rip off. I am a huge fan of BG products for their quality and durability (I have Flips, 4.0s, 3.0s, original BGEs), and while I find the pricing on the upper side of fair, know that I can rely on BG for my son, and that peace of mind does hold some value.
While hesitant to pay $25 for an original BGE, I find it to be a "luxurious" and comfortable diaper--there is a LOT of organic cotton in those things. To pay the same for this diaper seems a joke--why couldn't they throw in a single layer of organic cotton to line the PUL, like on the original BGE? I don't get it. The only reason I can see is to save money, and while I do appreciate that the diaper is USA-made and that may drive the cost up a bit, I don't think I could help but feel slightly taken advantage of should I purchase this diaper
PHEW! I really don't need any more diapers anyway!
Are there any other AIOs with exposed PUL?

Re: new BGE Vs. Flip (and action shots) *UPDATED use pics

I added a couple more peed-in shots to the bottom of the original post if anyone is curious to see the bunching. The bunching is definitely continuing and possibly getting worse. Dh put it on unsnapped, and that was the worst one yet. I'm wondering how it'll look on the shortest rise, we'll give that a try tomorrow.

Re: new BGE Vs. Flip (and action shots) *UPDATED use pics

Thanks for posting more pics! I'd never buy the new BGE (I stocked up on the old ones, thankfully) but it's nice to see action shots and see how someone who is actually using the diaper is liking/disliking it.

I agree with PP that it's great that they're made in the US, but I don't really understand that argument as a selling point for these. The majority of my old BGEs were also made in the US. Some are Egypt, granted. I just don't see the huge selling point, especially when the materials to make or assemble the diaper are NOT sourced from the US.

Re: new BGE Vs. Flip (and action shots) *UPDATED use pics

I don't like it The exposed PUL really bugs me with a trifolded prefold and flip cover. So I don't see myself ever buying this. I agree they should have called it a "Flip AIO" or something of the sort. And even though I have a few Flip covers, they leave a lot to be desired IMO. Is this even absorbent enough? I have heard people say that BGEs are not absorbent enough for older babies, but they are fine for my 13lb boy. It doesn't seem like these ones would even be enough without an extra insert. To me it seems like this is essentially a cotton pocket diaper. This diaper seems all over disappointing, how is it better again?
