The last couple days my nipples/ariolas have been SUPER itchy... is it an infection? What should I do? I've been slathering them in EMAB nipple butter, and that soothes them for a short bit, but it comes right back.

Ugggg, if it's thrush, what do I do? Do I have to dump everything I've pumped since it started?

Could be yeast (thrush). You could go see your doctor, or you could try an over-the-counter yeast cream (wash off before nursing

I never pumped and dumped with thrush. I would get some Nystatin and go from there. I can say that I get excema on my boobs and nipples on occassion and they itch like crazy. So watch out for that.

yep it sounds like yeast. I would eat a ton of yogurt, take a probiotic, no refined sugar and you need to wash your nips off after nursing (to help with itching) and I would put monostat on them for 5 minutes. BUT the yeast is in your system so the probiotics and yogurt will help kill/eat the yeast in a few days.

Nystatin didn't work for us. Monistat was a little better. Lotrimin is what finally kicked it. Apparently many people are resistant to nystatin now.
